B Shot by a Stranger: The New Loners (NSFW)
In this generation of screenagers, it seems that loneliness is taking an incredible role. People doesn’t smell each other anymore. They don’t touch each other. They barely know what a hug means. They have screens. They touch the screens. They watch what’s on the other side, but they don’t interact. They share their own bed with a screen.
They’re there, alone and lonely. Waiting.
What they don’t know is that they’re waiting for them selves, thinking that they’re waiting for others to come. They are the ones who take time to arrive to their own world. They miss their own self, thinking that they are missing other.
Gonzalo Bénard have been their private voyeur, not being there, shooting through satellite, guys of every culture, sexuality, race. No matter who you are, if you’re a screenager, you have these lonely moments when you feel absolutly lost.
“B Shot by a Stranger” is a sociological series of photography by artist Gonzalo Bénard, in which Autism meets Loneliness in this screenagers’ time.
