The Imaginary Beings, by Gonzalo Bénard

The Imaginary Beings” is a book by Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges, but it’s also an exhibition by Gonzalo Bénard in the Cultural Centre of Cascais, from 1st August to 19th October 2014.

Gonzalo Bénard will show 30 new artworks at the exhibition “The Imaginary Beings“, curated by Bernardo Silva Pinto, in the Cultural Centre of Cascais.
The exhibition will show 3 series of works: “Animals“, inspired in the book by Jorge Luis Borges; “Hybrids“, based on the murals of the classic civilizations and mythologies; and “Totem“, a more conceptual and ritualistic series bringing some connection between earth and divine, the old shamanism of some lost cultures.
