Self-Portrait Contest: The Finalists!

It is never easy and I’ve been judging photographs since some years ago. Focusing on interestingness, creativity, technique, breaking technique, strength, and innovation, editing skills, right crop, and balance and above all feeling the mood within the theme of course.

A pre-selection is done in different hours, erasing the “obvious not”, leaving the “I’ll come back later” in a limbo and bringing up the “obvious yes”… for a later new sight on them, to finally get the 10 to 15 I aimed for the pre-selection or semi-final.
Hundreds of self-portraits arrived this month: thank you to all who have submitted and participated in this first contest of 2HeadS. Most of the works (and photographers) were unknown to me, which is great as some of them I really enjoyed seeing.

Note to  self: for the next context I shall remind to make a rule asking to send the name and link to the photographers websites. I didn’t, I thought it was obvious. Next time: don’t forget.

From Pinhole to digital, from straight classic portrait to conceptual, 2HeadS got the inbox full of persons expressing themselves.

The 3 winners will be announced in the last week of May. Meanwhile I wanted you to leave your own vote as well. I want to know your opinion:

– Please leave in the comments which 3 would you choose from this selection.

So here you have the semi-final selection (in alphabetic order by the name of the author):

All these semi finalists will be posted on 2HeadS gallery on Tumblr this week.

– Please don’t forget to leave in the comments which 3 would you choose from this selection.

Once again, thank you for all your participation. Now: let’s vote for the 3 you like the most!

note:
– you must vote in 3: only 1 or 2 votes will unbalance the final result, so they will not taken in the final account;
– you can not vote in yourself, but you can vote in others, in case you’re one of the finalists and want to vote.
